The Jacquard Marbling Kit is easy to use and great for making unique book covers, greeting cards, wrapping paper, patterned fabric and more! This updated marbling kit uses carrageenan instead of methocel, for creating finer lines and higher performance colors. The floating action of each color is optimized for all marbling techniques and synthetic gall is included for creating special effects and exercising greater control. This kit is designed for professionals, but easy enough for beginners. This package contains six Marbling Colors (.5oz/14mL each: yellow, red, violet, blue, white and black), .5fl oz/14mL Synthetic gall, 4oz/113g Alum (mordant), 1oz/28g Carrageenan and complete instructions. Recommended for ages 8 and up. Conforms to ASTM D 4236. Made in USA.
- Marbling is the ancient art of floating paints on thickened water (known as size) and then transferring this floating painting onto paper or fabric.

- For fabric, heat set the paints by ironing once it has dried for at least 24 hours. Color permanence is significantly improved if allowed to cure for 2 weeks before washing. Paper does not need to be heat set.
